About the Role:

Join the Primrose School of Lafayette as a Lead Preschool Teacher, where you will inspire young minds and foster a love for learning in a nurturing environment. We are dedicated to providing a safe and engaging space for children to grow, and we invite passionate educators to be part of our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote creativity and critical thinking.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through observation and documentation.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student development and classroom activities.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers to enhance the overall educational experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the classroom.
  • Lead and mentor assistant teachers, providing guidance and support.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
Requirements:
  • Classes in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create a positive and engaging classroom environment.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering children's growth.
  • State licensing requirements for Lead Teacher positions.
