Position OverviewWe are seeking a caring and enthusiastic Upper and Middle School Theater teacher to join our community for the 2026‑27 school year. The ideal candidate will foster students’ artistic and personal growth through dynamic, age‑appropriate theater instruction that champions creative problem‑solving, character analysis, and hands‑on stagecraft. Working as a collaborative ensemble member within our faculty, this educator will cultivate a safe, inclusive studio environment that inspires artistic risk‑taking, ensemble accountability, and confidence in young performers.
Additionally, they will maintain open lines of communication with families, inviting them into the process to support their student’s creative journey.

Yearly Salary range: $55,000 – $75,000
Position is a 1.0 Full‑Time Equivalent (FTE)
What You’ll Need to Get the Job Done- Bachelor’s degree in theater/drama education or a related field required; a graduate degree is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of teaching experience, preferably at the upper school level.
- Demonstrated strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Warm, approachable demeanor with a genuine enjoyment of working with upper school students.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with a strong sense of personal responsibility and professionalism.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding high ethical and professional standards.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace tools (Drive, Docs, Sheets).
- Report to and collaborate closely with the Director of Upper School.
- Teach two Upper School theater sections, one of which will be a tech theater class.
