Job Description & How to Apply Below

Who we are:

EOI Space is developing and deploying a constellation of satellites in Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) to provide ultra-high-resolution Earth imagery. We aim to deliver timely and actionable data for commercial and defense applications.

We are on our way to achieving many industry firsts. This demands an ambitious team that revels in leaning into challenges, getting hands on, and working together. Does this sound like you? EOI Space is looking for an Electrical Engineer to lead or contribute to the design, development, and testing of multiple electrical subsystems for EOI’s satellites. The role requires expertise in analog circuit design, power electronics, and PCB layout.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of hands‑on work designing complex electrical systems for aerospace applications or in adjacent industries.

What you will do:

You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to develop, implement, and test reliable, high‑performance avionics and power subsystems for our next‑generation spacecraft. You’ll collaborate with other electrical engineers as well as a cross‑functional teams across systems engineering, manufacturing, and test to ultimately deliver flight‑ready electronics for satellite integration. This is a hands‑on role in a lean and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, development, and testing of spacecraft power and avionics modules. Multiple roles are available, and the subject matter spans power electronics and analog circuitry to high‑speed digital systems and FPGA implementation.
  • Design and layout complex printed circuit boards (PCBs) for satellite applications, focusing on performance, EMI/EMC, thermal management, and manufacturability.
  • Perform detailed circuit simulation and analysis to validate performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, software, systems, and test engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical subsystems into the overall spacecraft.
  • Lead failure analysis, root cause investigations, and system‑level troubleshooting in both lab and field test environments.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation including schematics, specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and test plans.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies in power electronics, analog design, and space‑qualified components.
  • Assist in system level electrical design, including for spacecraft wire harnessing, power budget analysis, and in defining electrical concept of operation (CONOPS).
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years (10+ years for senior‑level) of hands‑on experience in the development of electrical circuit boards and assemblies for Aerospace applications or adjacent industries. Direct satellite experience is preferred but not strictly required.
  • Deep experience with Altium Designer (preferred) or equivalent PCB layout tools.
  • Proven expertise in design, simulation, and testing of complex analog and power systems in aerospace or other high‑reliability environments.
  • Familiarity with EMC, signal integrity, and thermal constraints for high‑density electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Must be a collaborative team player who thrives in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
Compensation:

The salary range for this role is $135,000 - $185,000 per year, depending on previous experience. Pay ranges are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: interviews and an assessment of several factors that are unique to each candidate, job‑related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and internal equity.
