• Contribute to the maintenance and testing of mixed-signal electrical systems and circuits for medical devices, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory standards (e.g., IEC 60601).
• Develop detailed specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to meet design and performance requirements.
• Ensure reliability, develop technical specifications for test hardware conformance to specifications; may include modifying existing products.
• Contribute to technical project planning, establish timelines, define deliverables, and proactively identify and mitigate potential risks.
• Develop detailed specifications for replacement of obsolete components; may include development of test specifications, regulatory assessment, and standards testing (e.g., IEC 60601).
• Monitor, investigate, and validate customer complaint trends to determine if product needs additional modifications or redesign while maintaining product requirements.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

• Experience with all phases of mixed-signal board design including architecture, circuit design, schematic capture, component selection, PCB layout, and design verification.
• Strong electrical signals and systems fundamentals including frequency domain representations and circuit analysis.
• Experience with OrCAD schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Hands-on experience using lab test equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic and network analyzers) for system integration, debugging, and testing.
• Experience designing, testing, and implementing medium-voltage systems.
• Experience in designing and testing medical equipment within a regulated industry and familiarity with 60601-1 safety standard.
• Ability to work in an agile development environment.
• Interest in the challenges of addressing customer complaints.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

• Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks.
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

• Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty.
• Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
• May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals.
• The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

• Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor. Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions. Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level specialists; may manage projects/processes.
