Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer II
We are seeking a mid-level Mechanical Engineer II to contribute independent judgment in the evaluation, selection, and application of engineering techniques and procedures, and provide expertise in compliance with industry codes.
Mechanical Engineer Requirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
- Minimum of five (5+) years of recent and related experience or any equivalent combination of Education and/or Experience.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification is required;
Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred. - Proficiency in software packages like Solid Works Simulation, AutoPIPE Advanced, Codeware COMPRESS and must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Conduct detailed evaluation of customer specifications, develop tactical plans for executing the engineering phase of projects and oversee the design phase.
- Perform independent engineering calculations, prepare technical reports, and conduct reviews to ensure compliance with contract terms and applicable code requirements.
- Responsible for selection of components and instrumentation associated with design and contract requirements of projects. Create and verify data sheets for communication with procurement and customers.
- Conduct drawing reviews to ensure equipment designs comply with calculations, applicable codes/standards, and customer specifications. Review and disposition engineering and design-related Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) for assigned projects.
