Program Manager II

Blue Canyon Technologies, RTX's small satellite manufacturer and mission services provider, is solving some of the toughest challenges in space. This Program Manager II will be providing leadership and supervision in a team environment, with frequent opportunities for customer engagement, new business development, concept design, mission formulation, system analysis, detailed design, analysis, integration, and test, plus orbit operations.

$105,000 - $150,000

(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

On-site position at our Lafayette, CO location (work locations are subject to change based on business need).

• Program execution in all phases of the program life cycle (business development, mission formulation,requirements flow-down,manufacturing,integrationandtest,andon-orbit operations)

• Encourage, council, mentor, and lead program teams thru program evolution, milestones,challenges,and successes.
• Prepare,present, and manage for successful conclusionmajorprogrammilestone reviews
• Manage /performtradestudiesbalancing cost, schedule and technical requirementsandparametricanalyses
• Evaluationofexistingandemergingtechnologies
• Develop,review,andnegotiateprocurementdocuments(specification,SOW) and manage subcontracts
• Workcloselywithcustomerstohelprefinetheirneedsandprovideinnovativeandcompetitivesolutions
• Support and help evolve the spacecraft andcomponentproduct line offerings
• Generateandmaintainprogramintegratedmasterschedule(IMS)
• Generate andmaintainprogram budgets and forecasts, including financial, technical, and schedule risk and opportunity positions
• Executeflightprogramsthatmeettechnicalandcostobligations
• Workcloselywithothercontractors/teammates/partnersinmeetingcustomerneeds
• Collaboratecloselywithtechnicalprogramleadsanddiversedomainexpertise
• Ensureallbusinessisconductedusingthehighestethicalstandardsandincompliancewithall applicable laws, statutes, and regulations as well as company policies and directives

• 5-10yearsofrelevantexperience
• Bachelor’sdegreein
  
  Engineering,or Business Management with Engineering background.
• Good documentation and communication skills
• Strongsystemsengineeringandtechnicalmanagementskillsanddemonstratedabilitytogrow new business opportunities and execute demanding flight programs
• Abilitytoworkrapidlywithminimalsupervisiononprojectsinvolvingbothsmallandlarge engineering teams
• Previousexperienceandskillsinprojectdefinition,simulation,implementation,labintegrationand test
• Mustbeabletoworkinahighlycollaborative,fast-pacedenvironmentwithemphasisinrapid prototyping and fielding of capabilities
• Relatedtechnicalexperiencemaybeconsideredinlieuofeducation

This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
