The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic X-ray procedures per physician orders to obtain high-quality images. Responsibilities include patient transport and positioning, use of ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes, and assisting throughout the X-ray examination process.

• Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures
• Operate and maintain X-ray imaging equipment
• Educate, position, and immobilize patients appropriately
• Ensure timely, accurate exams and continuity of patient care
• Follow imaging orders and submit images/clinical data to radiologists
• Evaluate image quality
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, radiologists, and leadership
• Maintain supplies and charge appropriately
• Follow sterile technique and infection prevention policies
• Prepare and administer contrast per protocol
• Adhere to radiation safety (ALARA) standards
• Safely transfer patients and multitask efficiently
• Supervise and evaluate student radiographers
