Ice Maintenance Operator

Under the supervision of the General Manager, the Ice Maintenance Operator maintains all equipment, including the ice surface and ensures facility safety for employees and patrons.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Maintain a clean and safe facility at all times.

Execute policies and procedures professionally and accurately.

Practice excellent customer service.

Perform general maintenance tasks at facility including preventative maintenance.

Oversee daily maintenance of ice.

Practice safe operating techniques while driving, resurfacing, handling, and inspecting machines

Accurately record all ice and equipment maintenance and readings daily

Complete daily reports for ice maintenance and facility maintenance

Perform any other related or similar duty as assigned

Operate standard office equipment that includes computers, fax and copy machines, and telephones and maintenance and cleaning equipment that includes ice resurface rs, ice maintenance equipment, vacuums, mops, and any other equipment associated with use in a recreational facility.

Physical Requirements
• Heavy work:
Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Activities List Climbing:
Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. This factor is important if the amount and kind of climbing required exceeds that required for ordinary locomotion.

Balancing:
Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing or crouching on narrow, slippery or erratically moving surfaces. This factor is important if the amount and kind of balancing exceeds that needed for ordinary locomotion and maintenance of body equilibrium.

Stooping:
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.

Crouching:
Bending the body downward and forward by bending leg and spine.

Crawling:

Reaching:
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Standing:
Particularly for sustained periods of time.

Walking:
