American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a GI/Endoscopy Lab position in Colorado requiring at least 1 year of endoscopy experience, including hands‑on proficiency with GI equipment tech functions.
Requirements- Active CO RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand (no pending licenses); compact license must be transferred to CO within 60 days of employment start
- Minimum 1 year of GI/Endoscopy nursing experience required
- Hands‑on experience performing the tech portion of GI equipment is required
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required; must not expire prior to start date
- ASN or Nursing Diploma minimum education requirement
- Epic EMR experience required
- DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration
- Hospital-based Endoscopy Lab setting
- Primary schedule is four 10‑hour day shifts (0700–1730), Monday through Friday; schedule may convert to five 8‑hour days
- Weekend availability required
- Weekday and weekend on‑call required, including night and holiday call if schedule converts to 5x8
- 40 hours per week
- Uses Epic for charting
- Floating may be required to other departments within the Peri‑Operative umbrella, and occasionally to other nursing units based on need
- Responsible for nursing care and patient safety for patients undergoing endoscopic and/or invasive procedures with or without sedation
- Collaborates with the Pre‑operative RN to assess patient needs, develop and communicate individualized plans of care, and perform ongoing assessments
- Applies principles of aseptic technique and monitors surgical team compliance, initiating corrective action when breaks occur
- Supports patient education and communicates with patients and families throughout the care process
- Participates in quality improvement activities and evidence‑based practice initiatives
- Assists with documentation of equipment use, supply consumption, and inventory management
- Candidates who have been permanent staff at any Intermountain facility must have been separated for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
