Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The RN utilizes the nursing process through the use of technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence‑based practice, and coordination with other health team members.
Essential Functions- Assess:
Perform comprehensive assessment of physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive and communicative skills. Seek and evaluate information from interdisciplinary team members including patient, family, physicians, and other disciplines. - Plan:
Use assessment information and critical thinking to collaboratively develop individualized plans of care. Actively involve patients, families, teams, and physicians in goal setting and education. Prepare patients for further support needs once current care goals are met. - Implement:
Direct the interdisciplinary care team via delegation, coordination, and collaboration. Provide or delegate care consistent with the plan of care, guidelines, and professional licensure provisions. Prioritize and manage time, supplies, and resources effectively. - Evaluate:
Evaluate patient response to interventions by reviewing goal achievement, clinical outcomes, and satisfaction. Revise care plans as indicated and reassess changes appropriately. - Professionalism:
Promote nursing profession, participate in development of others, integrate legal and ethical standards into practice, comply with regulatory standards, practice within scope of licensure, document accurately, and understand legal implications of care delivery.

- Current license to practice as an RN in the state of practice; compact licenses must be transferred within 60 days of employment.
- RNs with less than 12 months of experience must obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within four years of hire date.
- Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- BSN required as of the last update; employees hired or promoted prior to that date are held to previous requirements.
- Ongoing need to see and read information, labels, and assess patient needs.
- Frequent verbal communication and listening in a fast‑paced environment, especially during emergencies.
- Manual dexterity to manipulate complex equipment, frequent computer use, and typing for documentation, medication preparation, and data access.
- Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients, handle supplies of varying weights, and navigate busy clinical spaces.
- Standing for extended periods and walking/ambulating patients and equipment, including pushing/pulling gurneys and portable devices.
- For driving roles: ability to operate a vehicle, read signs, and navigate traffic safely.

Compensation$37.45 - $57.29 per hour, based on experience.
