We are seeking an experienced Senior Supplier Quality Manager to lead supplier quality initiatives and oversee receiving inspection operations in a fast-paced aerospace, defense, and electronics manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with Suppliers, Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with industry standards, and maintain exceptional product quality.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on quality leader with experience managing supplier performance, inspection teams, MRB activities, and First Article Inspection (AS9102) requirements.

Key Responsibilities Supplier Quality Management
  • Monitor and improve supplier quality performance through metrics, audits, and corrective actions.
  • Issue and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
  • Conduct supplier audits and on-site visits.
  • Participate in supplier performance reviews and status meetings.
  • Perform supplier risk assessments and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide technical feedback to suppliers regarding production and quality issues.
Receiving Inspection Leadership
  • Lead and develop the Receiving Inspection team.
  • Manage employee assignments, timecards, performance, and productivity.
  • Track departmental efficiency and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and update receiving inspection plans.
  • Manage the MRB and scrap process.
  • Review defect documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Determine appropriate material dispositions, including scrap, rework, return to supplier, or use-as-is.
  • Support internal teams with defect analysis and resolution.
Quality Systems & Compliance
  • Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
  • Review supplier FAI packages and create internal AS9102 reports.
  • Support internal and external quality audits.
  • Assist with customer visits, Quality Business Reviews (QBRs), and management reviews.
  • Support CAPA investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.

    Maintain supplier information within the ERP system, including MSL ratings, notes, and quality alerts.
Qualifications

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively across Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Leadership or supervisory experience within Supplier Quality or Receiving Inspection.
  • Experience in an electronics or contract manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Mil-STD-883 and IPC-A-600/610 standards.
  • Experience supporting process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Five or more years of quality assurance or supplier quality experience.
