• Provide a high level of customer service and maintain a positive, customer‑focused work environment.
• Practice safe food handling procedures and demonstrate thorough product knowledge and preparation techniques.
• Receive, store, grind, unload, and transport fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery trucks.
• Count and weigh incoming articles and compare results against invoices.
• Examine meats in storage, rotate products to avoid aging, and ensure proper shelf life.
• Assist customers with questions, special orders, and needs while providing product location guidance.
• Perform and follow the “Clean as You Go” and “Fresh at 4” programs.
• Adhere to all procedural guidelines set by the Meat Department and maintain a clean and sanitary work area.

• Be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent. Have a basic knowledge of math, weights, and measures.
• Be dependable, reliable, and capable of performing other related duties as assigned.
• Demonstrate an outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude toward customer interaction.
• Be able to work a flexible schedule that changes with business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have strong communication skills and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation of the department.
• Adhere to all safety, health, weights, and measures regulations and company recipes.
• Stand for up to 4 hours continuously and work a total of 8 hours per shift, walking up to 2 miles.
• Work in a temperature‑controlled area and maintain general housekeeping.
• Possess adequate vision for using sharp knives, band saw, grinder, sausage maker, box cutter, wrapping machine, and tenderizer.
• Lift and carry products between 25 to 90 lbs. over distances up to 10 feet.
• Use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 500 lbs. over distances up to 100 feet.
• Move racks of products weighing up to 70 lbs. over distances up to 50 feet.
• Move tables weighing up to 70 lbs. over distances up to 2 feet.

The pay range for this position is $16.95 - $22.90 per hour. Sprouts Farmers Market determines pay based on applicable experience and qualifications of the applicant.
