Responsibilities
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling as required and compliant with OSHA regulations.
- Working at heights using scaffolds, ladders, and powered lifts.
- Safely pulling trailers and moving equipment.
- Conveying operational narratives verbally and in written reports.
- Coordinating 6–10 crew members according to strength and ability.
- Tracking progress, forecasting needs, and maintaining schedules.
- Acting as onsite safety personnel for assigned projects.
- Maintaining a good driving record; submitting Motor Vehicle Records annually.
- Attending continuing education classes in safety and best practices.
- Communicating effectively in English and Spanish with crew members.
- Filling out daily logs, timesheets, and reporting to Director and HR.
- Providing skill and knowledge levels to ensure quality work and mentor crew members.
- Operating power and hand tools safely, including skid steers, compactors, air compressors, forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
- Using transits, builder’s levels, lasers, and chalk lines for layout.
- Coordinating with Director and supervising crew activities.
- Assisting in creating and maintaining project schedules.
- Representing Panel Masters, Inc. on-site, attending coordination meetings.
- Determining reasonable pour dates based on crew capacity.
- Mobilizing required forms, equipment, and accessories.
- Communicating with suppliers for orders and deliveries.
- Maintaining quality control and the professional appearance of the job site.
- Leading crew performance evaluations and updating skill assessment charts.
- Working alongside carpenters and laborers, modeling correct procedures.
- Ensuring all PMI equipment is maintained and cared for.
- Scheduling repairs and inspections for the company truck and powered machinery.
- Working Monday through Friday; additional days may be required on Saturdays due to weather.
- Position paid on a salary basis with no overtime compensation.
- Must communicate effectively in English.
- Must communicate effectively with Spanish‑speaking employees.
- Daily log completion with detailed information.
- Timesheets with proper task coding completed daily.
- Ability to inform Director and/or HR of discipline or training issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Valid electrical license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) or similar.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods during a shift.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
- Appropriate tools of the trade.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- At least one year of similar job experience.
- PTO accrual: 1.538 hours per week (80 hours per year); accrual stops at 120 hours.
- Sick time accrual: 0.923 hours per week.
- Company truck provided for daily commute and job site needs; maintenance and fuel paid.
- Company cell phone or reimbursement for personal cell phone use.
- Bonus program based on job performance and company profitability.
- Partial health insurance coverage by Panel Masters.
