Tool & Die Maker – 1st Shift

Location:

LaFayette, GA. Shift: 1st (6:30am–3:00pm). Sign‑on retention bonus: $1,500.

• Repair, maintain, and troubleshoot stamping dies of all types.
• Diagnose press issues and implement fast corrective actions.
• Disassemble, inspect, polish, and rebuild dies to print.
• Run tool‑room equipment: surface grinders, mills, lathes, CNC machining centers, and Wire EDM.
• Install and adjust die/tooling components.
• Produce or restore components to tight tolerances.
• Communicate tooling needs with operators and supervisors.
• Maintain preventive maintenance documentation, follow safety and 5S, and support production.

• 2+ years of Tool & Die or stamping die maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and complex die drawings.
• Manual and CNC machining experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with progressive or transfer dies.
• Preferred: CAD/CAM, Solid Works, CNC programming, EDM experience, apprenticeship background.
• Set up and operate Wire EDM machines to cut precision parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Program or edit machine controls or CAM software as needed.
• 2+ years of Wire EDM machining experience in a manufacturing or tool & die environment.
• Familiarity with CAM programming or EDM machine controls.
