Position Overview

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is looking for highly motivated engineering students to join our Supply Chain/Manufacturing co‑op program for Spring
2027. The program runs from January
11,2027 to May
07,2027 and is based in Lafayette, GA. Co‑ops will support ovens/ranges manufacturing and work in disciplines such as shop operations, process engineering, advanced manufacturing engineering, global supply chain management, quality, sourcing, materials management, and manufacturing management. The co‑op provides real‑world manufacturing experience and prepares students for leadership programs or full‑time direct hire positions after graduation.

• Set goals & objectives for your co‑op rotation with your assignment leader.
• Lead teams across multiple levels of the business through influencing.
• Use initiative to find and develop process improvements.
• Assist your team with development and execution of project ideas.
• Develop and demonstrate an analytical approach to problem solving.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
• Set regular feedback sessions with your assignment leader.

• Hours & weekends:
  Some overtime & Saturdays may be required depending on role.
• Travel required:
  
  0% – 10%, depending on role.
• Begin and end times vary by department and role. All roles are on first shift (day shift may begin anytime between 5:30AM – 8:00AM).
• Reliable transportation is required.

• Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering (or related degrees) or Supply Chain Management, Operations Management (or related degrees) with a graduation date of May
  2028 or later.
• Cumulative GPA >=3.0 (out of4.0).
• Must be willing to explore all aspects of Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Materials, TPM, Lean, Distribution, Fulfillment, Consumer Operations, Advanced Manufacturing).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship will be provided.

• Previous co‑op or internship experience.
• Demonstrated leadership roles on campus or in the community.
• Demonstrated analytical problem‑solving skills, initiative, strong communication, effective teamwork skills, and coursework or related experience in major field of study.
