Job DescriptionSirius Staffing is seeking to fill a position for a large manufacturing site in Lafayette, IN. You will work as a Document Control Assistant to maintain the organization of the internal document library at a chemical manufacturing site. Your responsibility will be to ensure that documents are correctly filed for efficient retrieval, a task integral to our site's smooth operation.
Primary
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Enter document information into the site's library management system.
- Assist with preparing documents for off-site or on-site storage, ensuring they are sent to the correct locations under the supervision of the Document Services Assistant.
- Purge records from shelves according to the site’s records retention schedule, following guidance from the Document Services Assistant.
- Print, issue, and assemble laboratory notebooks for use at the chemical site.
- Assist with audits by processing and retrieving documents as needed to support compliance and accurate records.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using databases and cataloging systems
- Experience with records retention and document storage procedures is a plus
- Experience with document control or document management is a plus
- Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to lift and move boxes of documents as needed
