The Lafayette School Corporation (LSC) is seeking a professional, organized, and customer-focused Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for students, families, staff, and visitors at Tecumseh Junior High School. Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the face of Tecumseh Junior High School and is often the first person students, families, staff members, and visitors encounter when interacting with the school. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining a welcoming and professional office environment, and ensuring effective communication between the school and its stakeholders.
The successful candidate must demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication skills, professionalism, discretion, and the ability to provide courteous and efficient assistance while managing multiple priorities. The Receptionist plays an essential role in supporting school operations and helping create a positive experience for everyone who enters or contacts the building.

- Greet and assist visitors, students, staff, and families in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming telephone calls.
- Respond to inquiries and provide accurate information to stakeholders.
- Manage visitor check-in procedures and building access.
- Operate and monitor the building security buzzer system.
- Maintain visitor sign-in records and visitor badge processes.
- Coordinate parent and community volunteers.
- Manage student sign-in and sign-out procedures for appointments and tardies.
- Maintain and distribute elevator keys for eligible students.
- Support the daily operation of the main office.
