Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanic
Ford Lincoln of Lafayette is seeking an experienced Automotive Main Line Technician to join our growing service team.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in Automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles
- Ford or Lincoln experience is preferred, but technicians with experience in other OEM brands are encouraged to apply

- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and complex mechanical repairs on vehicles
- Accurately complete repair orders in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
- Conduct test drives to verify repairs and ensure vehicle performance
- Communicate effectively with Service Advisors regarding diagnostics, repairs, and timelines
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Stay current with factory training and certifications to maintain technical proficiency
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of automotive repair experience required
- Ford or Lincoln certification preferred (other OEM experience considered)
- Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and repair manuals
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Reputable dealership with a focus on quality and integrity
