The Campus Worship Pastor is largely focused on leading worship gatherings at the campus and leading/growing a culture of engaged volunteers on the team. This position is an exempt full-time salary position and reports to the Campus Pastor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Pastors, trains, recruits, and leads a team of volunteers to help facilitate spiritual growth inside of the team
- Prepares the team and themselves to lead with excellence through scheduling, rehearsing, and resourcing the team
- Leads worship gatherings with excellence, focusing on engagement, and continually grows themselves in their craft
- Oversees technical elements needed to successfully create a powerful encounter with Jesus which includes:
- Musical elements
- Creating Ableton sessions
- Utilizing Pro Presenter and various other tools.
Collaboration, Craft and Community Duties:
- Coordinates with Weekend Services Team to implement sound, video, & stage designs
- Prepares for and contributes on assigned teams and in all assigned meetings
- Partners with other worship, video and production staff to provide a unified team mentality
- Practices regularly to hone personal musical skills
Pastoral / Administrative Duties:
- Officiates weddings and funerals as needed
- Provides pastoral care, counseling and guidance as needed
- Networks with other churches for ideas and community
- Assists in baptisms or service hosting at the campus as needed
- Manages and maintains the worship and production budget of the campus
- Shows commitment towards cultural values
- Attends scheduled staff meetings
- Check and respond to email, voice mail and calls within 24 hours
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not have direct reports; however, the employee works with volunteers and must have an understanding that volunteers are key to the ministry of the church. The employee must have a heart to enlist, equip, and empower support volunteers in fulfilling their roles.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Related experience includes proven ability in the following:
- Musical ability including excellent vocal skills
- Ability to lead contemporary worship
- Ability to lead, develop, shepherd and instruct vocalists, tech volunteers and rhythm instrumentalists
- Ability to lead from an instrument
- Ability to lead, speak and counsel from a Biblical worldview
