Overview

We are seeking a dependable, customer-focused PRN Hospital Operator to support hospital communication operations and provide exceptional service to patients, visitors, and staff. This role is responsible for answering and routing incoming calls, responding to customer inquiries, assisting with service requests, and ensuring accurate documentation of interactions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Schedule- MUST be available to work a minimum of 36 hours during each six-week scheduling period.
- MUST be flexible with availability:
Days/Mid-Shift/Evenings/Weekends/Holidays. - Days and Start/End time will vary; department runs 24/7!

Key Responsibilities- Answer, screen, and route incoming calls promptly and accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and external callers.
- Respond to patient and customer inquiries via phone and email in a timely, professional manner.
- Assess customer concerns and determine appropriate solutions while adhering to organizational policies and guidelines.
- Assist with urgent communication needs and facilitate timely information exchange throughout the hospital.
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Accurately gather, verify, and document patient/customer information and interactions in applicable systems.
- Process service requests, orders, exchanges, scheduling inquiries, and related transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all hospital policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
