Central Catholic Jr/Sr. High School:

Central Catholic Jr./Sr. High School, established in 1957, is a Roman Catholic Jr./Sr. High school, grades 7-12 serving the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana. Central Catholic is an A rated school by the Indiana Department of Education and has over 450 students. Central Catholic graduates 100% of its students and has over 90% move on to college.

Primary

Purpose:

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, a successful candidate will have the ability to develop students' understanding of the General Sciences.

Skills,

Responsibilities and Duties:

* Designs learning activities to demonstrate the application of science to everyday existence, including scientific research projects, demonstrations, experiments, and laboratory activities.

* Instructs students in the proper use and care of scientific equipment, chemicals, and plant and animal life.

* Ability to build parent and student relationships.

* Creates and sustains a student-centered learning environment.

* Self-motivated learner.

* Understands appropriate use of Learning Management Systems.

* Ability to collaborate inside and outside of the department.

* Understands appropriate use of Learning Management Systems (Schoology, Power School, Blackboard, Angel, Moodle, etc).

Qualifications:

* Indiana teaching license to teach the subject or grade for which he/she is applying.

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
