St. Lawrence Elementary School is a Roman Catholic elementary school, grades K-6, serving the Diocese of Lafayette in Indiana.

Job Summary

The Lafayette Catholic School System is seeking dynamic, faith-filled servant leaders who love children and enjoy teaching. We are seeking a faithful, energetic, and organized educator who is dedicated to the academic and spiritual development of our students.

Primary Purpose

Under the general supervision of the School Principal, a successful candidate will be able to develop students' skills and competence in elementary school music education.

Education/Certification
  • Indiana teaching license to teach the subject or grade for which he/she is applying.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
  • Possess respect and ability to uphold Catholic School Teachings
  • Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols

  • Understands appropriate use of Learning Management Systems.

Experience

Previous elementary school teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Create and sustain a student‑centered learning environment.
  • Develops and administers music education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
  • Develops balanced music program and lessons to organize class time so that students have adequate time for preparation, instruction, and creating music.
