Primary PurposeUnder the general supervision of the School Principal, a successful candidate will be able to develop students' skills and competence in elementary school music education.

Education/Certification- Indiana teaching license to teach the subject or grade for which he/she is applying.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
- Possess respect and ability to uphold Catholic School Teachings
- Able to pass and maintain Diocesan child safety protocols
- Understands appropriate use of Learning Management Systems.
- Strong written and oral communication abilities.
- Ability to organize and coordinate work.
- Ability to build parent and student relationships.
- Ability to collaborate inside and outside of the department.
- Self‑motivated learner.
- Possesses a professionally calm and motivationally intense demeanor.
- Believes in planning and preparation, while also being a progressive thinker.
- Cares about his/her character, co-workers, and students.
- Reflects a balanced quality lifestyle (spiritually, physically, emotionally, and mentally), which is evidenced by personal habits.
- Functions at a high capacity in a fast‑paced environment.

Previous elementary school teaching experience preferred.
Responsibilities and Duties- Create and sustain a student‑centered learning environment.
- Develops and administers music education curriculum consistent with school district goals and objectives.
- Develops balanced music program and lessons to organize class time so that students have adequate time for preparation, instruction, and creating music.
