Faculty Fellow
Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs; provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; engage students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; provide institutional support and community service; participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives; support the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives;
conform to campus expectations of faculty performance and engagement.
The purpose of a Faculty Fellow position is to provide meaningful teaching experience for recent graduates of master's or doctoral programs with limited classroom experience. One academic-year contract with a potential for a second academic-year contract. Contingent upon continued funding and satisfactory performance. Two-year maximum allowed per individual per region. This position is eligible for full-time employee benefits apart from retirement benefits and tuition assistance.
Compensation $48,000 - Salary base is calculated on a 9 month contract basis with summer semester being optional
A qualified faculty member in psychology meets the discipline standard through one of two routes:
- Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in psychology, educational psychology, clinical psychology, counseling psychology, social psychology, or any other professionally recognized specialty in psychology, or
- Possesses an earned master's or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any field with 18 graduate semester hours in psychology-related courses, including a course in statistics and/or research methodology.
Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction.
