This is a 1.0 FTE Elementary Music Teacher position serving students in grades K–4 at Edgelea Elementary School for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will provide engaging and developmentally appropriate music instruction that fosters creativity, musical literacy, performance skills, and a lifelong appreciation for music.

• Create engaging musical experiences through singing, movement, rhythm, instrumental instruction, and performance opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a classroom environment where every child feels successful and valued.
• Help students develop musical literacy, rhythm, melody, listening skills, and performance techniques.
• Foster an appreciation for diverse musical traditions and cultures.
• Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall educational experience of students.
• Organize and facilitate student performances and musical showcases.

• Hold or be eligible to obtain a valid Indiana teaching license in Music Education covering grades K–4.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• Knowledge of elementary music pedagogy and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for working with elementary‑aged students.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues.

• Currently enrolled in an approved Transition to Teaching program in Music Education.
