Instructional Faculty

Provide quality and engaging instruction in all delivery methods and formats within specific academic programs; provide timely and meaningful feedback to students regarding the mastery of course and program learning outcomes; engage students outside of class in support of the curriculum and co-curriculum; provide institutional support and community service; participate meaningfully in student retention and completion initiatives; support the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives;

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction, including the automation and robotics content areas listed above.

Certification Requirement:
Several AART courses — as well as related INDT courses — carry embedded industry certifications as a required component of the Curriculum of Record, including SACA (Smart Automation Certification Alliance) certifications, Fanuc robot operation/programming credentials, and OSHA 10-hour certification. Faculty assigned to teach these courses must hold, or obtain within the timeframe set by the department chair, the specific embedded certification tied to that course — regardless of which degree/experience route above is used to meet the general discipline standard.

Possessing a qualifying degree and years of experience does not waive this course-level certification requirement.

A qualified full-time faculty member meets the education component of the School of Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering & Applied Science discipline standard through one of three routes:

  • Possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution in technology, engineering, or engineering technology (or an earned baccalaureate or higher degree directly related to the program's discipline); and possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR); and has two years of directly related work experience specifically linked to the competencies listed in the COR;
  • or possesses an earned baccalaureate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution; and possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR); and has five years of directly related work experience specifically linked to the competencies listed in the COR;
  • or possesses an earned associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institution directly related to the program's discipline; and possesses any specialized certifications required for the class being taught as indicated in the Curriculum of Record (COR); and has three years of directly related work experience specifically linked to the competencies listed in the COR.

The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.

The incoming employee must hold a valid Indiana driver's license and complete the Driver Approval Form to obtain authorization from the Systems Office for operating any College-owned, leased, or rented vehicles as part of their job responsibilities.

This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
