Akkodis is seeking a Diesel Powertrain Calibration Engineer for a job with our automotive client in Dearborn, MI. We are looking for someone with 3+ years of experience in Powertrain calibration with vehicle and/or dyno testing in Diesel/Fuel Emission/NVH.
Rate Range: $35/hr to $38/hr. (Negotiable based on experience, education, location, and other factors.)

Description:
This Diesel Powertrain Calibration Engineer role involves evaluating, testing, and optimizing vehicle attributes, including emissions, drivability, performance, diagnostics, fuel economy, and NVH. Responsibilities include modifying calibrations, data analysis, interfacing with software suppliers, calibrating features, documenting progress, using models and simulation, managing calibration databases, and possibly traveling for vehicle testing.
Skills Required:- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Valid Driver’s license
- Proficiency with Matlab, ETAS, ATI
- Knowledge of engine and vehicle operation
- Ability to understand control strategies (C-code & model-based)
Required:
3+ years in powertrain calibration with vehicle/dyno testing
Education:Preferred:
Master of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or similar)
