About the RoleWe’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our on-site team in West Lafayette, Indiana, and take ownership of key components of our inference pipeline and supporting infrastructure.
This role is well-suited for an early-career engineer (0–2 years of experience or equivalent project work) who wants hands‑on exposure to the full ML lifecycle—from sensor data processing to deploying models and building internal tools that surface insights to users.
You’ll work closely with our engineering and product teams on real production systems—not demos or academic exercises.
What You’ll Do- Maintain and enhance our machine learning inference pipeline
- Develop and deploy Azure Function Apps for data processing and model serving
- Build and improve an internal engineering dashboard using Python
- Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for new ML applications
- Monitor model performance and implement improvements as needed
Required:
- Proficiency in Python
- Familiarity with machine learning concepts and workflows
- Experience with Azure Function Apps or similar serverless platforms
- Ability to work full-time on-site in West Lafayette, IN
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. At this time, Wavelogix is unable to sponsor or transfer employment visas.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Streamlit or similar frameworks for building data applications
- Familiarity with backend API development
- Experience of serving LLM models
- Experience of container tools like Kubernetes
- Work on technology with tangible, real-world impact in the construction industry

- Exposure to the full stack—from IoT hardware to cloud infrastructure to ML
