Implements new processes, equipment, and procedures to achieve OEE, process capability, and compliance objectives. Supports engineering colleagues in leveraging process technicians to execute projects, trials, and sample production. Collaborates with technology, operations, quality, and maintenance teams to drive continuous improvement.
Essential Functions And Responsibilities- Leads equipment installation, commissioning, and production ramp-up activities
- Designs and executes projects, trials, experiments, and statistical analyses to improve process capability for all critical characteristics
- Implements measurement systems, devices, and instrumentation for process monitoring and control
- Partners with process technicians to meet output requirements including OEE, capability, and compliance targets
- Develops training materials and delivers process training to operations teams
- Creates and maintains safe operating procedures for new or modified equipment and processes
- Stays current on equipment vendor advancements through regular engagement with manufacturers and suppliers
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent relevant experience
- Intermediate-level career experience with process and equipment design and installation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
- Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing concepts, practices, and procedures
- Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels to achieve plant objectives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent analytical abilities
- Experience in wire, cable, or continuous conductor manufacturing with equipment design and installation focus
- Familiarity with automotive quality systems (IATF 16949 or equivalent)
- Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety practices
