Customer Quality Engineer

What You’ll Do as a Customer Quality Engineer:

• Identify and analyze root causes of quality issues internally and within customer applications.
• Develop and implement effective solutions, from process improvements to product design modifications.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify performance trends.
• Design and execute quality control systems to ensure consistent product standards.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Customer teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Create and maintain key documentation such as quality plans, reports, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality management systems (IATF 16949).
• Lead or support customer visits, audits, and on-site troubleshooting—traveling to customer locations as needed (approx. 50%).
• Continuously seek opportunities for process and product improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering or quality-focused role
• Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and product applications
• Proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
• Excellent communication skills for working with customers and cross-functional teams
• Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

• Experience with Minitab and statistical analysis tools
• Automotive or EV industry background
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards
