Quality Engineering, Process Engineer
What You’ll Do as a Customer Quality Engineer:
- Identify and analyze root causes of quality issues internally and within customer applications.
- Develop and implement effective solutions, from process improvements to product design modifications.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify performance trends.
- Design and execute quality control systems to ensure consistent product standards.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, and Customer teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Create and maintain key documentation such as quality plans, reports, and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality management systems (IATF 16949).
- Lead or support customer visits, audits, and on-site troubleshooting—traveling to customer locations as needed (approx. 50%).
- Continuously seek opportunities for process and product improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
- 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing engineering or quality-focused role
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and product applications
- Proven ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills for working with customers and cross-functional teams
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 50%
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Minitab and statistical analysis tools
- Automotive or EV industry background
- Familiarity with IATF 16949 standards
