Automation Specialist – Lafayette, IN

What You’ll Do as an Automation Specialist- Collaborate with the sales team to solve complex customer challenges through a consultative approach
- Provide technical sales support for Rockwell Automation Power products, including VFDs, MCCs, and Medium Voltage solutions, ensuring proper application, configuration, and customer value.
- Provide technical sales support and system sizing for Rockwell Automation Motion and mechatronics solutions, aligning product selection with customer performance and application requirements.
- Support and promote advanced automation technologies, including Rockwell Automation solutions
- Provide technical guidance and education to customers to improve their operational success
- Assist customers in implementing solutions involving Industrial Controls.
- Support automation initiatives tied to Industrial IoT in manufacturing environments
- Build strong customer relationships through professionalism and technical expertise
- Functional knowledge of Industrial Controls
- Familiarity with factory plant floors and industrial equipment preferred
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), or equivalent
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Goal‑oriented, self‑motivated, and detail‑driven
- Strong critical thinking and problem‑resolution skills
- Interest in Industrial Automation Consultation involved in Industrial manufacturing settings
- Collaborative work environment supporting both customers and internal sales teams
- Exposure to cutting‑edge automation technologies

- Travel within the Central Indiana market as needed
