Automation Specialist - Mechatronics in Lafayette, IN to support customers with advanced industrial automation solutions, including Rockwell Automation technologies. This is an opportunity to combine technical expertise with consultative problem-solving in a growth-focused environment.

In this role, you’ll partner with customers and our sales team to deliver forward-thinking automation solutions.

You’ll:

• Collaborate with the sales team to solve complex customer challenges through a consultative approach.
• Provide technical sales support for Rockwell Automation Power products, including VFDs, MCCs, and Medium Voltage solutions, ensuring proper application, configuration, and customer value.
• Provide technical sales support and system sizing for Rockwell Automation Motion and mechatronics solutions, aligning product selection with customer performance and application requirements.
• Support and promote advanced automation technologies, including Rockwell Automation solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and education to customers to improve their operational success.
• Assist customers in implementing solutions involving Industrial Controls.
• Support automation initiatives tied to Industrial IoT in manufacturing environments.
• Build strong customer relationships through professionalism and technical expertise.

• Functional knowledge of Industrial Controls
• Familiarity with factory plant floors and industrial equipment preferred
• Degree in Electrical Engineering (EE), Electrical Engineering Technology (EET), Mechanical Engineering Technology (MET), or equivalent
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and detail-driven
• Strong critical thinking and problem-resolution skills
• Interest in Industrial Automation Consultation involved in Industrial manufacturing settings

• Collaborative work environment supporting both customers and the internal sales team
• Exposure to cutting-edge automation technologies

• Travel within the Central Indiana market as needed
