Engineering & Project Planning Department
Outline of Duties:
- Provide leadership role to group of manufacturing engineers for various tasks from facility equipment installations to process improvements, including model change activities.
- Plan, schedule and organize all project activities.
- Interact with other engineering departments, supporting and developing cooperation between departments.
- Meeting and interacting with outside contractors and equipment manufacturers to develop best solutions to current issues.
- Ability to accurately propose budgets for projects, work within established budgets, and manage within guidelines.
- Determine need for training and talent development.
- Other duties as assigned by Section Management.
- BS Degree within Engineering, or related field, and relevant experience.
- Above average communication skills, demonstrating the ability to effectively communicate between multiple departments.
- Attention to detail along with logical thought process for problem solving.
- Proficient in all MS Office applications.
- Proficient planning and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated leadership within some capacity via current or previous role.
- High level of technical expertise and familiarity with industrial machinery.
- 2+ years' experience in manufacturing field with proven knowledge of equipment and process.
- Previous experience within project management field.
- Working knowledge of Powertrain shop equipment and processes.
