Design Engineer

As a Valve train Component Design Engineer, you will design complex components and systems, partner with global teams, and support diesel, natural gas, and alternative fuel engines worldwide.

• Lead a global team in designing valve train components.
• Design and promote new components and subprocesses.
• Evaluate product design, reliability, durability, cost, and program requirements.
• Apply NPI processes, conduct FMEAs, formulate validation plans, and complete validation activities.
• Assess new products, processes, or systems, including supplier change requests.
• Complete projects on time and at cost for NTI, NPI, CPI, and NSI programs.
• Communicate results to customers, suppliers, team members, and business units.
• Lead supplier collaboration and CPPD.

Degree required.

• Analytical Thinking – extensive knowledge of analysis techniques.
• Computer-Aided Design & Engineering – expertise in graphics programs.
• Product Design – ability to transform requirements into designs.
• Managing Multiple Priorities – effective self-management, prioritization.
• Technical Excellence – strong technical knowledge and solution development.
• Product Design and Development – from concept to production.

• Degree in mechanical engineering.
• Experience with APQP, FMEA, NPI, NTI, CPI.
• Expertise in valve train components.

• Travel: less than 10% domestic or international.

$97,530.00 – $ (salary may vary).
