Machining Mfg Engineering Project Engineer
Integrated Components & Solutions has openings for Machining Mfg Engineering Project Engineers within the Lafayette Engine Center in Lafayette, IN. The Project Engineer role will have a focus on technical process support for engine component machining requirements and enterprise process optimization. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise required to design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes/systems related to machining and grinding of various components across engine manufacturing value stream.
Incumbent will interface directly with multiple teams including Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, Product Change Control and Safety. In this role you will work both independently and as part of a team to develop machine tool specifications, tooling plans, asset layout, capital procurement, machine installation, runoff and validation.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience
Thorough knowledge of component machining and grinding concepts
Thorough knowledge of manufacturing concepts (Lean Manufacturing, 6-Sigma, in process validations (IPV's), Poka-Yoke design, System/Tooling Controls, etc.)
Thorough experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
Experience with reading and interpreting engineering prints
Top Candidates Will Also Have:
Experience with designing requirements and managing implementation of capital assets
Experience with NPI, APQP, and PPAP processes (Control Plans, PFMEA, Process Flow Diagrams)
Able to build strong relationships with various stakeholders at all levels
Experience with Siemens NX and CNC programming
Experience with machine tool connectivity.
