Mechanical Engineer Product Development and BOM Management

Job Title

Research and investigate the design, functionality, and maintenance of mechanical products, equipment, systems, and processes. Ability to make engineering drawings and interpret blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, design, develop, manufacture, and test tools, engines, machines, and other mechanical devices
• Research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine time and cost feasibility for project completion
• Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations to maintenance crew
• Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products using tools, equipment, or software
• Engine modeling
• Parts ordering
• Bill of Material (BOM) management
• Work environment: 80% office / 20% shop floor
• Supports NPI engineering leads; interacts with L4 and L3 team members
