An industry-leading advanced manufacturing facility in the Lafayette, IN area is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead high-impact capital projects and drive equipment reliability across a high-performance production plant. In this hands-on role, you will manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects from concept through installation, troubleshoot complex hydraulic and mechanical systems, and partner closely with maintenance and production teams to optimize plant performance.
Key Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- 3+ years of engineering experience in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Strong technical background with hydraulic systems, industrial machinery, and reading schematics.
- Demonstrated experience leading capital projects and developing preventive maintenance strategies.
- Exposure to Allen-Bradley PLCs, controls, or aerospace quality standards (AS9100/Nad Cap) is a plus.
