WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

* Perform environmental maintenance duties and assist in maintaining inventory levels in sterile processing, the operating room, and in equipment storage areas.

* Verify that equipment functions properly, requisition for equipment maintenance, repair or replacement, and remove defective equipment.

* Assist with maintaining established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and quality improvement, safety, and environmental and infection control standards.

* Monitor biological and chemical wash solution to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and medical equipment.

* Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies and equipment, and assemble, wrap, and sterilize trays of instruments.

* Sort mismatched sets of instruments, trays, and medical equipment and make them available to sterile processing customers in a timely manner.

* Monitor inventory levels of required instruments, trays, crash carts, and facility medical equipment; restock, label, and maintain inventory levels; submit requisitions, collect and distribute supplies and equipment.

* Full-time, 40 hours per week, working weekdays, weekends, and holidays from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Associate's Degree Preferred

* High School Diploma/GED Required

* 1 year Surgery Preferred

* 1 year Experience in Related Field Required

* Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) Required or

* Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD)
