Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Front Desk to oversee the daily operations of our medical office. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a compassionate approach, and a strong ability to multitask. This role is pivotal to ensure that our office runs smoothly and that patients receive the highest level of care and attention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greeting patients and managing check-in/check-out
  • Scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating provider calendars
  • Answering and routing phone calls promptly and professionally
  • Verifying patient information, insurance details, and completing registration updates
  • Collecting co-pays, self-pay balances, and assisting with daily reconciliation
  • Preparing and organizing paperwork for patients and providers
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming front office environment
  • Assisting with referral management and medical record requests
  • Supporting prior authorization workflows as needed
  • Communicating effectively with MAs, providers, and management to maintain clinic flow
  • Ensuring accurate documentation within the EHR
  • Assisting with operational tasks assigned by leadership
  • Maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree or certification in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a medical office setting, with a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology and office procedures.
  • Strong proficiency in medical office software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the utmost confidentiality.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
