HR Generalist – Lafayette, IN
Primient is a leading producer of food and industrial ingredients made from plant‑based, renewable sources. We are seeking a dynamic HR Generalist to join our Lafayette, IN site, reporting to the local HR Business Partner.
Job OverviewThis role will shape our people strategy, implement HR processes and initiatives, manage employee relations, and provide comprehensive support to managers on all HR matters, including employee engagement, performance management, recruitment, onboarding, learning and development, and more.
Key Responsibilities- Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution:
Manage employee relations, provide hands‑on HR support to managers, address HR issues, conduct objective investigations regarding disciplinary matters, and collaborate with plant leadership to strengthen employee engagement. - Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:
Facilitate recruitment activities, including sourcing, hiring, conducting new‑hire orientations, and managing the onboarding process to ensure effective integration of new employees. - Termination and Transition Processes:
Oversee termination procedures, ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements, and support departing employees for a smooth transition. - Data Management and Reporting:
Perform data entry, maintain accurate employee records, and generate and analyze HR metrics and reports such as KPIs, monthly local reports, and head‑count data to support data‑driven decision making. - Policy Interpretation and Compliance:
Interpret and enforce HR policies, procedures, local legislation, and company policies, providing guidance to managers and employees. - Manage & Support ERGs:
Lead and participate in Employee Resource Groups to promote diversity and inclusion. - Event Planning:
Plan and coordinate HR‑related events to enhance employee engagement and foster a positive workplace culture. - Training and Development:
Deliver and facilitate training activities related to HR processes, supporting employee development and ensuring adherence to HR policies and procedures.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent (preferred).
- 4+ years of professional HR experience.
- 3+ years of recruiting experience.
Annual pay range: $63,344.80 – $95,017.20, bonus eligible.
