We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Product Support and Logistics Division as a Manager, Distribution (3rd Shift) in Lafayette, IN.

Our Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. PSLD is responsible for the worldwide distribution of Cat aftermarket parts, integrated logistics, and global service to develop and support our global dealer network and customers.

As a Manager, Distribution (3rd Shift) at Caterpillar, you will supervise and provide leadership to Warehouse Associates and Team Leads assigned to a designated area.

• Special Announcement:
  It was recently announced that PSLD Lafayette operations will be moving many of their positions to the facility in Lebanon, IN over the next 6 months. This position is included in the upcoming move.

  3rd Shift (Sunday through Thursday 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM Eastern Time)

• Determine priorities of daily workload for value stream
• Determine overtime needs, determine priorities when resources are insufficient, and decide when disciplinary action is necessary
• Manage employee hours through appropriate time keeping system
• Ensure production meets safety, quality, velocity, and cost standards
• Ensure necessary parts and materials are ordered and distributed in a timely and efficient manner
• Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency
• Work to improve processes, timeliness and reduce costs by eliminating non-value added activities
• Ensure preventive maintenance is performed according to schedule
• Implement various corporate initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, 6 Sigma, Internal Certification, etc
