Manufacturing – Electrical Wiring Assembler Advanced Power Technologies; APT

Position Summary:

APT / Blauberg is a premier manufacturer of generator and distribution switchboards, switch gear, and control panels. We have immediate job openings for Electrical Wiring Assemblers and Lead Electrical Wiring Assemblers at our product manufacturing facility located in Lafayette, Indiana..

Job Responsibilities may include the following:

• Wiring of control panels and switchboards
• Install electrical wiring and various other electrical components
• Point to Point wiring, crimping/cutting wire, and wire labeling
• Assemble components of electrical distribution equipment per drawings
• Proper utilization of all common shop tools
• Accurately make measurements in 1/32” increments
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary or other assigned duties as required

Required Experience and Skills:

• Detail oriented person; the work requires attention to detail
• Perform all functions related to assembly operations with minimal training
• Must be a self-motivated individual and work well in a team environment
• Must be competent in the use of hand tools and power tools
• Assure compliance with appropriate quality standards/requirements
• Responsible for personal and area safety as well as general housekeeping
• Basic math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers and common fractions)

Desired Experience and Skills:

• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Basic Computer literacy
• Prior wiring/assembly or fabrication experience
• Ability to travel if necessary

Education & Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, work experience and skill development required
