Position: Level 4 CNC Machinist Technician- 2nd & 3rd Shift- LAFAYETTE, IN

LEVEL 4 CNC MACHINIST TECHNICIAN - Multiple Positions Available - 2nd & 3rd Shift

Compensation

$2500 Sign On Bonus; $29.40/hour base pay + 6% Shift Differential.

Shift

2nd Shift (3:30 pm-11:30 pm) & 3rd Shift (11:30 pm-7:30 am). Successful candidates will start as soon as a position becomes available on their requested shift; waiting period may apply.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Responsible for production, quality, housekeeping, and other duties associated with the operation and set up of CNC and NC controlled machines, transport material, audit, operate wash tanks, and manual operations.
  • Interpret CNC programs, Job Instruction Sheet, CMM data, Gageit (gage tracking) and monitor Infinity.
  • May be required to work overtime to support manufacturing requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and solve problems with machines, tooling, and program malfunctions.
  • Manage time and work well within a team environment.
Basic Qualifications
  • Two or more years manufacturing experience: multi‑axis CNC machining; ability to program CNC machines with Fanuc, Siemens or other controllers.
  • Strong knowledge of machining principles; basic SPC, blueprint reading; understanding of geometric tolerances; ability to interpret CMM reports; quality data; work experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Must pass CNC skills assessment in order to win position.
  • Required to remain in section for 12 months except for promotion or nights‑to‑days move.
Physical Requirements
  • Fast‑paced, medium‑to‑heavy duty assembly, technical environment.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, turning, climbing, and standing on concrete for 8+ hours.
  • Ability to lift 40 lb and perform repetitive hand movements with tooling.
  • May require tasks on a moving conveyor under time constraints.
  • May require climbing ladders, stairs, working on platforms and at heights.
  • May require working in confined spaces.
  • May require wearing a respirator.
  • Must lift and manipulate engine components during assembly.
  • Must use hand and pneumatic tools and automatic torque equipment.
Additional Information
  • Location:

    Lafayette, IN.
  • Shift: 2nd Shift (3:30 pm‑11:30 pm) & 3rd Shift (11:30 pm‑7:30 am).
  • Will train on 1st Shift (7:30 am‑3:30 pm) for 3 weeks to 3 months.

Summary Pay Range

$29.40 - $37.40 per hour. Compensation and benefits vary by individual factors; salary is one component of total compensation.
