QG & PDI Assembly Auditor – 1st Shift

Quality Gate and Pre-Delivery Auditor

Caterpillar - Build What Matters

This position encompasses the audit of all engines during various stages of the build process. The main responsibilities include auditing engines for compliance to the appropriate documentation; accurately recording all engine non-conformances in the AQE system and communicating found engine non-conformances to the appropriate person for repair. This person will work closely with all assembly personnel, support groups, and assembly management to meet product quality goals and objectives and will at times assist in quality functions outside of the audit process.

This position will rotate throughout various quality gates in the assembly areas and will therefor require that the individual train in multiple areas.

• Learning Caterpillar Systems and using them appropriately (MESA, AQE, etc.)
• Computer Skills – Microsoft Teams, Email
• Strong customer focus approach, communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work with diverse groups.
• Strong quality mindset to protect our customers
• Inspect engine using provided enhance checklist to stop defects from moving forward.
• Ability to be flexible within our facility.

• Basic computer skills

• Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
• Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.

• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
• Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
• Standing and/or sitting at a desk while performing tasks

• Position is for 1st shift – 6:30am to 2:30pm
• Relocation assistance is NOT offered for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected applicant.
• 13 days / 104 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO) - (Prorated based upon start date)
• 11 Paid holidays
• 40-hour work weeks with potential for Overtime

Summary Pay Range
$22.65 - $29.45
