Position: Shop Floor Quality Engineer for Manufacturing Excellence

We are seeking a Quality Engineer – Manufacturing with strong hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. The role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and resolving quality issues on the shop floor while driving continuous improvement and defect prevention initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, document, and track defects on the shop floor and correlate issues with previously built units
  • Collect, analyze, and communicate non-conformance and quality data effectively
  • Perform structured root cause analysis (RCA) using tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone (Ishikawa) diagrams
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and operations to resolve quality issues
  • Support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention, variation reduction, and waste elimination
  • Ensure timely closure of quality concerns through effective problem-solving and stakeholder communication
  • Engage directly with production teams and actively participate in shop floor activities
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in manufacturing or quality engineering.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as RCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, and basic problem-solving methodologies
  • Ability to analyze issues, document findings, and propose practical solutions
  • Strong communication skills to interact with stakeholders at different levels
  • Ability to understand multiple perspectives while analyzing quality issues
  • Willingness to work onsite and spend time on the shop floor
