CNC Setup Operator - First Shift
Lafayette, IN | $26–$32/hr | Mon‑Fri 6:30 am‑3:00 pm | Direct Hire
Done with nights and weekends? So are we. If you're a skilled machinist grinding through second or third shift, this is your way out. This is a straight first shift position — Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm — with no mandatory overtime. Voluntary overtime available if you want the extra money, weekdays and occasional Saturdays.

- Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, and turning centers
- Produce precision pump components to close tolerances
- Work a variety of parts and setups — no two days exactly the same
- Read and interpret engineering prints including GD&T
- Use precision measurement instruments — micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance
- Maintain quality and safety standards
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- 3–5 years of machining experience
- Able to perform difficult setups and run machines independently
- Comfortable reading engineering prints with GD&T
- Skilled with precision measuring instruments
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade or technical certification a plus
- Strong attention to detail and takes pride in quality work
