Duncan Road Stores Controller – 1st Shift

Location: Lafayette, Indiana

The Large Engine Center in Lafayette, IN is hiring a Duncan Road Controller to receive, unload, and safely assemble materials for production. The role ensures timely availability of materials, tracks inventory in Caterpillar’s system, and coordinates material flow with production schedules.

• Receive and unload materials
• Order materials to meet production needs
• Oversee inventory and material flow
• Communicate with other shifts, machine shop, assembly, dispatchers, truck drivers, distribution technicians, supply chain personnel, and management
• Commit to a 12‑month minimum with the ability to transition to nights‑to‑days or promotion opportunities

• Valid forklift and tow truck operator certification
• Experience with EIMS, Visual Factory ISS, and MESA systems
• Basic computer proficiency
• Strong written and oral communication skills

• Self‑motivated, safety‑conscious, can work independently
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer‑focused approach

• Lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to bend, twist at the waist, and squat
• Stand on concrete for 8+ hours
• Consistent use of required PPE during tasks

• Salary range: $23.33 – $30.33 per hour
• 13 days / 104 hours of paid Personal Time Off (PTO), prorated based on start date
