Stores Controller – 1st Shift

Location: Lafayette, Indiana

The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN currently has an opening for a Stores Controller. In this role, you will be responsible for material availability for assembly consumption, including ordering parts for the assembly lines, moving material to the lines via stand‑up forklift, maintaining inventory accuracy, and inputting orders and interplant material movements into the computer system. You will also communicate material shortages to procurement and assembly operations to avoid production impact.

• Ordering parts for assembly operations
• Moving material to the assembly line via stand‑up forklift
• Maintaining inventory accuracy on production parts
• Utilizing computer systems to input parts orders and move interplant material

• At least 2 years of stand‑up forklift experience
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Self‑motivated, safety‑conscious, and able to work independently
• Basic computer skills

• Flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands
• Strong interpersonal skills with a customer‑based focus

• Lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
• Bend and twist at the waist and squat as required
• Consistently use required PPE
• Stand on concrete for 8+ hours

• Position on 1st shift (6:30 am–2:30 pm)

Pay Range: $23.33 – $30.33 per hour
