Production Manager | Position is near Lafayette IN area Manufacturing Operations
A global manufacturer is hiring an Operations Manager to lead production within one of its large U.S. manufacturing facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on manufacturing leader who enjoys developing people, improving processes, and driving operational performance in a high-volume environment.

In This Role You Will- Direct daily manufacturing operations across multiple production areas.
- Coach and develop Production Supervisors, Team Leaders, and hourly production employees.
- Analyze production performance using key operational metrics and implement improvements that increase throughput while reducing waste and downtime.
- Champion workplace safety, quality, productivity, and cost improvement initiatives.
- Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing 5S principles and structured root cause problem solving.
- Work cross‑functionally to ensure production goals and customer requirements are consistently achieved.
- 5-10+ years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Production Manager, or an experienced Production Supervisor ready to advance.
- Proven ability to lead supervisors, team leaders, and production personnel in a fast‑paced manufacturing operation.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs including safety, quality, production efficiency, throughput, and continuous improvement.
- Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred, although other high‑volume manufacturing backgrounds will also be considered.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel for reporting, production tracking, and performance analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
- A college degree is not required. Demonstrated manufacturing leadership and a strong track record of operational success are the primary qualifications.
- Must be able to commute to the greater Lafayette, Indiana area.
