Manufacturing Apprentice Program

Overview

Evonik is offering a Manufacturing Apprentice program at Tippecanoe Laboratories. The program combines hands-on work with a Process Technology certificate developed with Ivy Tech Community College. The apprenticeship lasts about 18 months and prepares candidates for advancement to the Production Operator role.

• Attend Ivy Tech classes and complete the Process Technology Certificate Program (grade C or better).
• Maintain a full-time work schedule that includes hands-on manufacturing work and class time.
• Complete Evonik training within designated timelines, including basic operator training.
• Adhere to regulatory compliance procedures and all safety protocols.
• Assist with day-to-day activities in the designated work area, including housekeeping, inventory maintenance, area inspections, material movements, and basic troubleshooting in manufacturing processes.

• At least 18 years old before starting work; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Accepted for enrollment in Ivy Tech classes with in-person attendance.
• Valid driver's license; willingness to work overtime and nights if required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, ascend/descend stairs, and work in confined spaces.
• Comfortable working in high-noise and high-temperature environments.
