The Large Power Systems Division in Lafayette, IN currently has an opening for a
** Distribution Technician**. In this role you will be responsible for material availability for Assembly consumption. The primary focus for the Distribution Technician will be moving material to the assembly line via stand-up, or sit-down fork truck.
** Position Notes:
*** Please include detailed work history to be considered, attached resume preferred.
* Candidates must be able to read, write, and conduct business in English
* Hourly pay range of $20.94-$26.69 plus 6% premium for off shifts. Higher rates offered based on experience.
* Candidates must complete the full hiring process which includes, but not limited to: successful completion of Interview, background check, post offer medical questionnaire and drug screen.
* Candidates must successfully complete and pass Basic Assembly Training (BAT), which is completed as a part of the new-hire orientation and onboarding process.
** Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
*** Moving material to the assembly line via stand-up or sit down fork truck
* Helping Stores Controller maintain inventory accuracy on production parts
* Making sure material is delivered to point of use in FIFO order.
*
* Basic Qualifications:

**
* ** Must have at least 2 years of stand-up fork truck experience.
*** Must have good written and oral communication skills.
* Self-motivated, safety-conscious individual capable of working independently.
* Basic computer skills.
** Top Candidates will also:
*** Be flexible to work overtime as needed to support production demands.
* Possess and show strong interpersonal skills and apply customer-based focus.

* Physical Requirements:

*** Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 40 lbs.
* Must be able to bend and twist at the waist and be able to squat.
* Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
* Stand on concrete for 8+ hours.
